You can find out everything about the application process at Volkswagen Group Services GmbH here. We will explain which information and documents we need from you and what makes our selection process special.


A complete application typically contains a letter of application, a curriculum vitae and certificates of completion of education or the highest school leaving certificate. Any possible job references and relevant certificates round off the package.  Once you've prepared this, it's quick and easy: in our career portal, click on the job advertisement for which you would like to apply. Create a short application profile for the login (name and e-mail address). Then, using usual data formats, upload the documents with a total volume of up to 10 MB.  The application process takes place exclusively online and under strict observation of data protection laws.

Part 2: Application & Application Profile

On our online application portal, you will find our vacancies at all of our German locations on a daily basis. You can use the full-text search to search for a job or select job offers according to career level, functional area or location.

If you cannot find a suitable vacancy in your search, you can set up a “job subscription”. To do this, create an applicant profile with your personal and professional skills. You can import this from Xing or LinkedIn and update it at any time. You will then automatically receive notification of new suitable positions. With the saved profile, with just a few clicks you can easily apply for any position of interest to you. In the explanatory film “Apply online with a few mouse clicks”, we show you how easy it is.

Our selection process: from the interview to the employment contract

    Your application profile: the first impression

    After submitting your application, you will receive an automated confirmation of receipt via our online application form. Please check the spam folder of your mailbox if necessary. Your application’s personal mentoring is now in the hands of the personnel manager responsible for this job ad. At the end of each vacancy, you will find the relevant point of contact.

    Presentation at the department

    Upon receiving your application, the personnel officer responsible will review your documents and compare your profile with the job requirements. The documents are then forwarded to the relevant department.

    Selection phase: Job interview

    If your profile matches the position described, we will contact you to arrange a personal meeting. An interview usually lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. We need this time frame to get to know you better as a person.

    Selection phase: Further modules

    There are various standardised modules that enable us to optimally assess your professional and personal skills: telephone interview, online test, job interview or assessment centre (AC). Visiting on site the future field of activity and having a first try-out can make it easier for you to decide in favour of us.

    After approval by the works council, you will receive a contract offer if all steps are successful and all parties involved agree. Contractual details are usually clarified with another contact person from Human Resources.

The curriculum vitae should be truthful and complete and show your successes at the same time.

In terms of clarity (and ultimately also data volume), the selection of certificates and any supporting documents should concentrate on relevant documentation: highest educational achievement, important job references, required certificates/supporting documents.

The interview:

If you are invited to a telephone interview, you should generally prepare yourself as you would for an interview (in this case, however, you do not have to worry about your external appearance).

Prior to an interview, reflect on your curriculum vitae:

  • Which information is important for your counterpart to get to know you better?
  • What were the reasons for individual steps in your career?
  • Which strengths (especially those that are also important for the position) and possible weaknesses do you have? If you feel unsure, you can ask friends or family for their impressions.

Use the basis of the job advertisement to prepare yourself for the recruiter's technical questions. Make a note of the questions you want to ask the interviewer and give them a clear structure.

Select clothing for an interview so that you feel physically comfortable. Check that it is appropriate for the position you are applying for.

Finally, you should plan to arrive relaxed on the day of the meeting. Prevent any delays so as not to arrive at the company, feeling under stress. In the event of an unforeseen delay, it is helpful to have the recruiter's name and telephone number at hand so that you can get in touch in good time.
